Devin does amazing work. It starts with pen and paper but then turns into something real. While the stairs he built for me are quite functional, they are also a piece of art. Something I will treasure for as long as I own my house. His patience and hard work brought order out of chaos. His attention to the landscape and details made his creation look like it had been there from the start. I look forward to working with him again.

Functional works of art in stone. These dry stone steps were built in 2009, from stone rescued from an excavation site (they were going to throw away the real stone….and I’m not mentioning what they replaced it with!) Built using no saws, grinders or power tools, just one hammer, shovels and digging tools may have been involved, but I don’t think I even used any chisels on this one.
