I needed a functional pathway through my hillside garden leading to my front door. Devin had the technical expertise as a stone mason, an appreciation of nature and the artistic sensibility I was looking for.

Devin responded promptly to my initial contact. We spent more than an hour discussing concepts and possibilities. He left with my verbal commitment to create the steps and pathway with two stone birdbaths and a stone stool to be placed along the path. He emailed the contract a week later and we were set to go in late October at end of the garden season.

As Devin undertook a major construction project through the heart of the garden, he was most respectful of the boundaries and created an amazing pathway with minimal disruption to the surrounding habitat.

I couldn’t have been more delighted.

Working with Devin was a dynamic process. He led the way with his expertise but was open to hearing my wishes and ideas and adapted his plan as he worked. It was an awesome experience to witness a true stone artist at work. The project was completed in a week and a half, exactly as Devin had anticipated, despite the additional requests I made and he implemented.

Devin created eight flagstone steps and a flagstone pathway that traverses a hillside garden from my yard to the front door. Three hand crafted stone birdbaths are situated along the pathway. Two stone benches in the yard provide a place to relax and enjoy the habitat. The third birdbath and the two stone benches were additions I requested as Devin worked on the path. They were elements that beautifully and functionally tied the project together.
