Just a few photos for now. I’ll have more images, different angles and a thing or two to say about this sculpture….soon enough, soon enough.
These were taken at Chetola Lake Sculpture walk, a juried group sculpture exhibition in Blowing Rock North Carolina. This is actually the first juried show I’ve ever done…..happy, I sold a bench and also, our lady Squiggly Noodle here placed an honorable mention. Not bad for my first show, right?

More stone sculpture and artistic stone masonry, by Devin Devine:

I love your art but do not forget if color does not add purpose or value to the piece it becomes a distraction
Funny you would say that: because of the relationship that I have with color. Anyone who follows my art on socials knows that my drawings and paintings are mostly black and white. I struggle with drawings, to include any color. IDK why.
But then with my stone work, I bring in color. If you see my dry stone sculptures from 12 years ago, it’s always 2 colors at the very most. But then I started holding on to bright stones that I come across, deploying them with strategy and intention….and some of my recent works have been quite colorful.
Thank you.
