May 19th and 20th, In the woods about 100 feet outside of Historic Downtown Jim Thorpe
Group project. Help me create an ancient looking monument….something for hikers to stumble upon, and be amazed and delighted.
You get that once in a lifetime experience PLUS lodging for a night at a bed and breakfast located within the heart of downtown historic Jim Thorpe. All for the same price as an ordinary B&B stay. Lunches will be provided for both days too.
We’ll see what ends up being built and what we feel like calling it. I have drawings for dome-like or pyramid-like structures. Perhaps we’ll build something like this…..maybe bigger. Perhaps something a few people can all climb into at once.
I’ve been building these for a few years now. Often they feature a design looking like some sort of fireplace, and/or the entire structure curves about like a flame.
We’re doing this next month, May 19th and 20th. Clear your schedule and come join us. It’s on a Monday and Tuesday….so do adjust that schedule, work can wait.

Your teacher has:
- 30 years experience building with stone
- 9 years experience teaching others how to build with stone
- has led many art and building workshops over the years
- and has been building faster more loose and not necessarily permanent structures like this, for funsies, for the past 3 years

Exact design and size of what we build will be determined on site. How many hands will we have, how many stones will myself and my team gather before the big day….how big do we feel like making it?
